about the poetSara Hirsch is an internationally renowned writer, performer and spoken word educator based in Wellington who currently splits their time between hemispheres, regularly performing and teaching poetry in the UK, New Zealand and in between.
Sara's poetry has been widely published, including two full-length collections with Burning Eye Books, in journals such as Magma, Poetry New Zealand and The Shanghai Literary Review and in anthologies from Platypus Press, Spoken Word London and Burning Eye. Sara has a chapter in the upcoming handbook on spoken word in the UK, to be published by Routledge and speaks regularly at conferences and events around the world.
