Sara Hirsch is a London grown poet and spoken word educator. She is a former UK Slam Champion, third ranked in the World Slam Championships 2014, winner of the European Poetry Slam in Madrid 2016 and a 2017 BBC Slam Finalist . Sara has performed at Glastonbury, is a TEDx speaker, has featured on the BBC and has toured extensively both in the UK & Internationally. As one half of 'Team Trending', the runners up in the National Anti-Slam Final 2016, Sara is proud to have nearly been officially both the best and worst poet in the UK.

Sara’s debut poetry collection ‘Still Falling’ was published with Burning Eye Books in 2016. It has been described as “Annoyingly good” by Harry Baker. Her second collection 'Louder Than Words', was published with BX3 this summer and has been endorsed by Michael Rosen. Sara recently completed her Writer/Teacher MA at Goldsmiths University, is working on a new collection 'The State of Being Useful', runs Genesis Slam, London's only regular 3 round slam and is attempting to gradually dismantle the patriarchy, one poem at a time.
