still falling - debut collection
book for young people
Sara is currently creating a poetry collection for young people which will be published with BX3 in the summer. This exciting new book will include some poems from 'Still Falling' as well as a range of never before seen poems and brand new material. It will also feature poems from students in conversation with Sara's original poems that inspired the ones they created. This book will be available soon and will be a great resource for teachers.
Sara is also working on her next full collection which explores feminism and architecture.
Using buildings, construction and architectural theory as a metaphor to discuss gender, equality and the female experience, this innovative collection of poems and essays promises to challenge, ignite & surprise in equal measure.
In 'Still Falling', performance poet Sara Hirsch celebrates people, positivity and the power of perspective.
Through wit, rhyme and unadulterated honesty, Sara plummets through the friendships, relationships and encounters that have shaped her perception of her place on this planet.
Whether ex lover or total stranger, no one is spared in this deeply moving, life affirming descent into death, dreams and a determination to laugh in the face of an easy life.
We all stumble at some point. Sara Hirsch invites you to join her in enjoying the fall.
Published by Burning Eye Books in 2016.
